Tyler Roberts, a legislative assistant to Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska), is joining Venn Strategies.

Michelle Seger, legislative counsel for Rep. Alex Mooney, R-W.Va., has been named senior associate at the public affairs and government relations firm, Venn Strategies, LLC. The firm has also hired JoHannah Torkelson as vice president. Torkelson works for the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition.

Venn Strategies, LLC, a leading national public affairs and government relations firm, announced today that Michael Spira has joined the firm as a Vice President. Spira brings more than fifteen years of political and policy experience, having most recently served as a senior lobbyist at the American Pharmacist Association.  He was previously Chief of Staff for former Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) and Deputy Chief of Staff for Congressman Ed Perlmutter (D-CO).

Venn Strategies has promoted Jessica Layson Davis to vice president and Michael Lanza to assistant vice president. Layson Davis, who specializes in healthcare issues, joined the firm last year. She previously lobbied for the American Academy of Physician Assistants and worked as legislative director for Rep. Austin Scott (R-Ga.). Lanza specializes in financial services policy and formerly worked for House Republican Conference Chairwoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (Wash.).

Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), joins the shop as an associate.
