WASHINGTON DC – Venn Strategies, LLC, a leading public affairs and government relations firm named one of the fastest-growing private companies in America by Inc. 5000, announced today it promoted Matt Pearce to Vice President, Natascha Cumberlidge to Assistant Vice President and Chelsea Doubleday to Associate. The firm also announced that it had hired two new members to its team: Brian Beaty, who joined as a Senior Associate, and Erica White, who joined as an Associate.
Pearce, an expert in coalition management and economic policy, joined the firm in 2013 from the U.S. Green Building Council, and prior to that served as a legislative aide to former Congressman Earl Pomeroy (ND-D). Cumberlidge, who joined Venn in 2014 after a seven-year stint as Senior Legislative Assistant and primary health policy advisor to former Congressman John Tierney (MA-D), is a member of the firm’s health policy group, where she works with biopharmaceutical innovator clients, coalitions and the University of Wisconsin’s healthcare system, among others. Doubleday joined the firm a year ago in an administrative capacity, and now moves into a role in which she will assist several of the firm’s coalition and financial services clients.
Venn CEO and founder Stephanie Silverman praised Pearce, Cumberlidge and Doubleday: “We are so proud of the work they do every day. It’s exciting to be able to recognize their exceptional ethic, effort and skills with these well-earned promotions.”
New Senior Associate Beaty joined Venn after working on an array of nonprofit public health issues with the public affairs firm Burness; before that he worked at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and in the office of Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA). New Associate White, meanwhile, joined Venn from the public affairs firm Blakey & Agnew and prior to that worked in the press office of Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY).
Noting the value of these new additions as part of the firm’s broader client-delivery strategy, Silverman said: “Brian and Erica reflect the bright young talent we are lucky to be in a position to add; they bring energy, relevant experience and a clear commitment to the type of work we do. Elevating talent and adding to our team helps us position Venn to continue our track record of tangible deliverables this year and beyond,” she added.
