Venn Adds Three to Team

New Talent Deepens the Firm’s Tax,
Financial Service and Health Care Bench

WASHINGTON DC – Venn Strategies, LLC, a leading national public affairs and government relations firm, announced it has hired three new team members to support the firm’s continued growth in the areas of tax, financial service and retirement policy.

Michael Lanza has joined as a Senior Associate; Angela Hoague has joined as a Special Assistant; and Andrew Bariahtaris has joined as an Associate.

Lanza joins Venn from his post as Legislative Counsel for House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rogers (R-WA), where he handled tax, financial services, small business and judiciary issues. Prior to that, he was an Account Executive at CapitalSource, Inc. and served in the offices of Representatives Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-WA) and Jim Jordan (R-OH). Hoague joins Venn from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, where she was Executive Assistant to former Commissioner Margaret Hamburg after serving several years as a Program Analyst in the Office of Regulatory Affairs and the Office of International Programs. The firm also hired Associate Andrew Bariahtaris—most recently at Blank Rome Government Relations, LLC and previously worked in the office of House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Adam Schiff (D-CA).

“With the start of a new and very active Congress, Venn wanted to strengthen our talent pool and what we can offer our clients,” said Stephanie Silverman, founder and Chief Executive Officer. “Adding Michael, Angela and Andrew clearly helps us expand the kind of results we can deliver to our firm and our clients.”
