  • Senior Associate – Tax and Financial Services Policy

    Position Summary

    Venn Strategies, a nationally recognized, independent public affairs and government relations firm, is seeking a Senior Associate – Tax & Financial Services Policy Professional to support clients and help achieve their tax and financial services legislative and regulatory goals.

    As top political strategists, policy analysts and communications experts, our principals and staff – former top aides in the White House, Senate, House, State Houses, leading industry advocacy groups and Fortune 500 corporations – are recognized and respected as leaders in our fields.

    Qualifications

    • Must have a minimum 3-5 years of federal policy/political experience.
    • Must have a strong knowledge of relevant congressional and federal committees/agencies and their policy making processes.
    • Must have a clear understanding of major financial services and tax policy issues.
    • Must be client-oriented, an excellent communicator and researcher, digitally savvy, creative thinker, and team player with a strong work ethic.
    • Must also possess a strong ability to multi-task, work directly with external stakeholders and across party lines.
  • Human Resources Manager

    Position Summary

    Successful, entrepreneurial, client service firm seeks a Human Resources Manager to guide, shape and implement policies of the firm, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of Venn’s mission and talent strategy. The HR Manager will report to the COO and will collaborate with the rest of the Management Team regarding a variety of firm initiatives including but not limited to hiring, retention, performance evaluations, benefits administration, DEI programming and staff professional development. Candidate should have minimum of 5-7 years of relevant human resources experience, a bachelors’ degree or higher, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and a knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.   • Client Services Associate

    Position Summary

    Venn Strategies, a fast-paced, independent boutique government affairs and public affairs firm based in Washington, DC, is seeking an entry-level Client Services Associate to support our growing Policy and Political Practice. 

    As top political strategists, policy analysts and communications experts, our principals and staff – former top aides in the White House, Senate, House, State Houses, leading industry advocacy groups and Fortune 500 corporations – are recognized and respected as leaders in our fields. 

    Our expertise gives us the ability to offer our clients a clear window into the workings of Washington, as well as the necessary tools to navigate and succeed in this critical environment and define a path to victory.

    Responsibilities

    • Compile background research on client-relevant topics and policy matters.
    • Compose memos for staff and client teams on key hearings, briefings and other newsworthy events.
    • Support client teams with research and other tasks.
    • Establish, maintain, and update databases and other key materials.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Must have excellent organizational skills, communications skills (written and oral).
    • Be enthusiastic and hardworking, capable of multi-tasking, with strong computer and document production skills.
    • Knowledge of and experience with Congressional and regulatory processes and major national policy initiatives strongly preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
    • Uphold a professional image with external and internal business contacts.
    • Work with integrity, including exhibiting discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
    • Effective problem-solving skills to resolve routine questions.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet fast-moving deadlines.
  • Health Policy Associate

    Position Summary

    Venn Strategies, a fast-paced, independent boutique government affairs and public affairs firm based in Washington, DC, is seeking a Health Associate to support our growing health practice.

    As top political strategists, policy analysts and communications experts, our principals and staff – former top aides in the White House, Senate, House, State Houses, leading industry advocacy groups and Fortune 500 corporations – are recognized and respected as leaders in our fields.

    Our expertise gives us the ability to offer our clients a clear window into the workings of Washington, as well as the necessary tools to navigate and succeed in this critical environment and define a path to victory.

    Responsibilities

    • The candidate will help with research and analysis on client priorities and supporting client teams with complex projects and tasks.
    • When requested, produce memos summarizing policy issues for clients.
    • Cover hearings, briefings and produce coverage memos relevant to client priorities.
    • Administrative tasks will include scheduling meetings, including with Congressional and Administration officials, note taking in meetings, and process tracking for the purposes of regular client reporting.
    • Prepare and process client account paperwork, as needed.
    • Establish, maintain and update files, databases, records and/or other documents.
    • Operate standard office equipment and use the required software applications.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Must have 1-3 years’ relevant experience to support growing healthcare practice.
    • Be enthusiastic and hardworking, capable of multi-tasking.
    • Must possess strong project management skills, excellent research and communications (written and oral) abilities.
    • Must be able to function well on a team.
    • Must be confident in PowerPoint, Excel and other computer skills.
    • Knowledge of Congressional and regulatory processes and major policy initiatives in Congress and the Executive Branch strongly preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    • Uphold a professional image with external and internal business contacts.
    • Work ethically and with integrity, including maintaining client and firm confidentiality.
    • Maintain the highest level of discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
    • Effective problem-solving skills to resolve routine client questions.
    • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects.
    • Ability to follow instructions, including a strong adherence to meet deadlines.
    • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize and complete work efficiently.
