  • Associate Vice President (Continuum Health Advisors)

    Position Summary

    Continuum Health Advisors is a venture of Venn Strategies, an independent government affairs and public affairs firm based in Washington, DC. Continuum’s mission is drive health equity through partnerships with organizations dedicated to improving the health of all Americans. We offer strategic planning, policy analysis, advocacy and enhanced intersectoral collaboration. Continuum is led by public health policy experts with experience in the public and private sectors.

    We are seeking an Associate Vice President to serve a key role at Continuum executing high impact partnerships, developing innovative policy, and contributing to the overall growth of the project. This role is ideally suited for someone who excels in both external affairs and relationship management as well as policy development and analysis.

    Responsibilities

    • Track and analyze relevant federal and state activity related to population health and health equity
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with allied organizations in key public health areas (health disparities, health policy, community health, education, behavioral science)
    • Manage relationships with third party groups conducting educational activities related to clinical research and precision medicine
    • Execute priority projects to advance understanding and awareness of diversity in clinical research, especially related to precision medicine
    • Support the development of policy proposals related to value-based care in Medicare and Medicaid through research and analysis

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of Masters' Degree in Public Health, health disparities, or relevant discipline. Bachelor's degree may be substituted for candidates with extensive experience demonstrating the qualifications described
    • Dedication to health equity and community-driven public health innovation
    • Five or more years of experience in public health, health policy or related fields
    • Experience in complex project management
    • Capacity to handle multiple competing priorities-including the ability to be agile, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
    • Understanding of health disparities, social determinants of health, as well as Medicaid and Medicare
    • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral

  • Client Services Associate

    Position Summary

    Venn Strategies, a fast-paced, independent boutique government affairs and public affairs firm based in Washington, DC, is seeking an entry-level Client Services Associate to perform a variety of administrative tasks for a client team and a senior executive.

    As top political strategists, policy analysts and communications experts, our principals and staff – former top aides in the White House, Senate, House, State Houses, leading industry advocacy groups and Fortune 500 corporations – are recognized and respected as leaders in our fields.

    Our expertise gives us the ability to offer our clients a clear window into the workings of Washington, as well as the necessary tools to navigate and succeed in this critical environment and define a path to victory.

    Responsibilities

    • Administrative responsibilities will include scheduling a high volume of meetings and appointments, setting up meetings and conference calls, travel arrangements and logistics of client visits/meetings, business correspondence, and handling incoming calls.
    • Assist with research, support client teams and assist with a variety of administrative tasks, including identifying key contacts for relationship-building and preparing detailed itineraries for staff and clients.
    • Prepare and process client account paperwork, as needed.
    • Establish, maintain and update files, databases, records and/or other documents.
    • Operate standard office equipment and use the required software applications.

    • A year of post college work is desired, but not required.
