Fast-paced, independent boutique lobbying and public affairs firm in Washington, DC seeks an Outreach Associate with 1-3 years of relevant experience to support growing national grassroots campaigns. The candidate will assist with direct engagement of potential advocates for priority issues. Candidate must possess excellent communication (written and oral) abilities, be comfortable and confident on the phone, function well on a team, capably multi-task, and be client-oriented. Campaign or federal government experience a plus must have demonstrable knowledge of the campaign, Congressional and regulatory processes, and major policy initiatives in Congress and the Executive Branch. Venn is seeking an intermediate-level Associate with familiarity and interest in critical infrastructure policy and programs, including energy, transportation, and national security. The ideal candidate will possess 2-3 years of relevant experience to support our growing critical infrastructure practice group. A strong candidate will have a proven track record with federal policymaking, the political process, project management, and/or experience especially in one or more of the following issue areas: critical mineral, energy, infrastructure security, environmental, trade, transportation, and economic development.
