Venn Team Continues to Expand with Addition of Top House Aide

WASHINGTON DC – Venn Strategies, LLC, a leading national public affairs and government relations firm named one of the fastest growing private companies in America, today announced that Erik Olson, a top House aide, has joined the firm as a Principal.

Erik joins Venn and the firm’s management team after a 14-year tenure on Capitol Hill, most recently as Chief of Staff to Representative Ron Kind (D-WI); in that role he served as Kind’s chief political and policy advisor. Rep. Kind is a senior member of the House Committee on Ways and Means and Chair of the moderate, pro-business House New Democrat Coalition.

Stephanie Silverman, Venn CEO and founder, said of Erik: “He is an extremely valuable addition to the Venn team.  His years of campaign experience and policy expertise in the areas of tax, trade and health care are a natural synergy for the firm and our growing client base.” Moreover, noted Silverman, “Olson expands the firm’s growing Wisconsin profile in Washington, DC, joining colleagues Lindsey Punzenburger and Jon Sender also Wisconsin natives who served Wisconsin congress members prior to coming to the firm. Our Wisconsin clients – include UWHealth and Appvion, as well as many of the Wisconsin ESOP companies we are proud to work with to name a few – deserve political managers inside the beltway who understand not only this town, but also what matters to them back home,”  Silverman added.
