Venn offers interns a fast-paced working environment with challenging and engaging opportunities for public affairs and political careers to develop. Venn’s internships are offered during the summer.
Interns work directly with the firm’s various teams on a wide variety of projects, clients and subject matters. Our boutique firm environment enables an intern to experience a range of policy issues common to the federal government, while offering them access to several areas of professional interest to further their career.

We are currently accepting applicants for our eight-week 2026 Summer Internship, which runs from June through July. We are seeking summer interns for our Tax, Trade, & Finance practice. We offer our interns challenging and engaging opportunities to develop public affairs and political careers through direct working relationships with our government affairs professionals and exposure to a variety of projects, clients, and issues common to the federal government.
The internship will be primarily in-person in our downtown D.C. offices, with opportunities to work remotely at the discretion of the firm. This is a paid internship.
Interested applicants must be rising college seniors, recent college graduates, or current graduate students.
Example of Duties and Responsibilities:
Support staff on real-time event planning
Participate in and take notes at relevant policy briefings, hearings, and advocacy meetings.
Monitor legislative and policy developments and conduct in-depth research on specific policy issues.
Prepare memos, transcripts, bios, and fact sheets on assigned topics
Schedule congressional staff meetings and/or support client meeting prep
Perform other duties as required.
